ROARING LION
they open wide their mouths at me, like a ravening and roaring lion.
Like a roaring lion or a charging bear is a wicked ruler over a poor people.
The conspiracy of her prophets in her midst is like a roaring lion tearing the prey; they have devoured human lives; they have taken treasure and precious things; they have made many widows in her midst.
Their roaring is like a lion, like young lions they roar; they growl and seize their prey; they carry it off, and none can rescue.
Her officials within her are roaring lions; her judges are evening wolves that leave nothing till the morning.
Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
and called out with a loud voice, like a lion roaring. When he called out, the seven thunders sounded.
It has been drawn to my attention that we always need to be on guard against the trickery of our adversary. Satan didn’t just appear in the last few years with the Hollywood Movies like,
“The Exorcist” and other such movies in the genre. We tend to assume that because we have victory in Christ that we always have that victory with little thought or effort on our own. That is not the case. Our struggle is not against flesh and blood. Our adversary has been around, fooling and discouraging the “called” since the garden of Eden. That’s why I started with scripture from the Old Testament. We need to be aware, and alert. We need to be in a constant state of prayer and we need to watch out when we are hurting, tired, weary, successful, and triumphant. Our every situation can be an opportunity for the evil one to get a foothold.
So, Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge God, and He will direct your paths. And also from Proverbs 19:20 20 Listen to advice and accept instruction, that you may gain wisdom in the future..
God is always ready to help and bring aid in our time of need. We need to let go of or selfishness and ask for help. God who is faithful, will not leave us alone and in need.
Blessings,
